Mahmoud Shikabala to join Ismaily on loan from Zamalek
Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour confirmed that he has given the green light for Shikabala to join Ismaily on loan next season.
Shikabala left Zamalek last season to join Saudi side Al Reed on loan, where he played a total of 24 games across all competition, scoring 10 goals and providing five assists.
His performances earned him a spot in Egypt’s 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but he failed to make an appearance during the tournament.
The 32-year-old had already stated that he didn’t want to return to Zamalek this season after the end of his loan spell with Al Reed.
He will be now rejoining the Yellow Dragons for a second loan spell, after featuring for them on loan during the 2015-2016 season, where he scored two goals and assisted four in eight games.
The Ismailia-based club will take part in the CAF Champions League next season after finishing in second place in the league.
