president Mortada Mansour declared that goalkeeper will leave the White Castle to join during the current transfer window.

The goalie won’t be the first player to leave from Zamalek to Pyramids this summer, as Ali Gabr and Ahmed Tawfik made the move right before him.

In an interview with Sada El Balad satellite channel, the Zamalek chairman spoke about the 27-year-old shot-stopper and revealed that he is on his way out of the White Castle.

“El-Shennawy is definitely on his way to Pyramids,” Mansour said.

“El-Shennawy sat with the president of Al Ahly Mahmoud Al-Khatib three days before the Cairo derby and whoever does that has no place in Zamalek.

“He has also been negotiating with Pyramids for the last three weeks to get a million and a half dollars and whoever is just after money has no place at our club,” he added.

Despite all the big moves done by Pyramids since chairman of Saudi Sports Authority Turki Al-Sheikh took charge of the club, club’s spokesperson Ahmed Hassan has stated recently that Pyramids will sign a couple more players before the transfer market ends.

“We will have another couple of deals in the next few days, including a goalkeeper,” Hassan said.

The recently re-branded club have announced early on Tuesday the signing of goalkeeper El-Mahdy Soliman from Alexandria-based side Smouha.
