Kasimpasa chairman: Trezeguet’s transfer was out of our hands
Kasimpasa Chairman Hasan Hilmi Öksüz has lifted the lid on Mahmoud Trezeguet’s transfer saga as the Egypt international nears an exit from the Turkish outfit.
KingFut had exclusively revealed that Trezeguet agreed terms with Slavia Praha after deals with Inter Milan and Galatasaray stalled.
He then decided to put his move to the Czech side on hold, however, Öksüz confirmed that Trezeguet has completed a medical ahead of a permanent move.
“Trezeguet has undergone his medical at Slavia Prague,” Öksüz said regarding Trezeguet’s potential transfer to the white and red outfit.
“This transfer is taking place without our consent. They agreed to pay €5 million [Trezeguet’s release clause], not something that is in our hands,” he added.
Slavia Praha came in second position last season in the league behind Viktoria Plzen and are sent for an exciting period ahead after the takeover by a Chinese investor that has a big share in the ‘City Football Group’, who are widely known to be in control of several clubs in the world such as Manchester City, New York City FC, Melbourne City, Yokohama F. Marinos, Girona & C.A. Torque.
Trezeguet had scored 16 goals in all competitions last season with Kasimpasa, his highest tally since he started his career playing at Cairo giants Al Ahly.
