midfielder has officially joined UAE club Al Jazira on permanent basis, leaving his original club Royal Antwerp just six months into his contract.

Siani has started the 2017/2018 season in Belgium’s Pro League KV Oostende where he featured in 22 games scoring two goals and making three assists.

The 31-year-old midfielder moved within the same competition to Royal Antwerp in the January transfer window but he spent an underwhelming spell with the team, collecting just five appearances without leaving any impact on the team.

“Al Jazira Football Company completed the signing of the Cameroonian midfielder Sebastien Siani, the former player of the Anderlecht and Antwerp, and the African Cup of Nations winner in 2017,” Al Jazira statement read.

“He joined the first football team of Al Jazira as soon as the preparations for the upcoming seasons starts. Siani has passed all the medical tests and he joined his new teammates in Al Jazira in their preparations for the upcoming season 2018 – 2019.”

Siani had previously played for RSC Anderlecht, FC Brussels. He made his debut for Cameroon in 2015, and was a member of the Indomitable Lions’ squad that won the 2017 AFCON, he even assisted the winning goal for his teammate Vincent Aboubakar in the final against Egypt, the clash that saw them win 2-1.
