EXCLUSIVE | Egypt striker Ahmed Hassan ‘Kouka’ close to Greek giants
Egypt international forward Ahmed Hassan ‘Kouka’ is close to finalizing a move to the Greek Super League.
Kouka, 25, is nearing a move to Greece’s top club, Olympiacos, after talks have reached an advanced stage; KingFut understands.
The former Al Ahly youth product has enjoyed mixed fortunes in Portugal, scoring 41 goals in 123 league appearances since 2012.
During his seven-year stay in Portugal, he has featured for four campaigns for Rio Ave, while spending the last three seasons at SC Braga.
Kouka was close to a move to Benfica a few seasons ago but medical issues reportedly caused the deal to fall through.
After being include in the whole 2018 World Cup Qualifiers campaign for Egypt, he was a surprise exclusion from the final 23-man squad.
The player has featured 18 times for the Pharaohs, scoring five goals. He also participated in the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey, scoring two goals against Iraq and England as Egypt crashed out of the group stages.
