Al Nassr’s forward Kabananga loaned to FC Astana
Al Nassr’s Congolese forward Junior Kabananga is set to be loaned to the Kazakhastani club FC Astana on a one-year deal.
Al Nassr have accepted a loan deal for Kabananga to return back to his former club, FC Astana, after joining the Saudi team in the previous winter.
The club have announced in a statement published through the official Twitter account that the player’s transfer fee will return to the Saudi side in case the player goes on the move again.
The statement pointed out that the financial value of the second loan is to be doubled if Kabanga plays in more than 50% of the team’s matches in addition to other terms and obligations on the Kazakhastani club.
Al Nassr’s manager, José Daniel Carreño, gave the green light for the club to transfer list the 29-year-old striker after the player failed to impress him in his short spell at the club.
Kabananga played for Astana previously from the summer of 2015 to 2017 and made a total of 94 matches for the club in all competitions, scoring 37 goals while handing in nine assists.
In February 2018, the 29 year old forward moved to Al Nassr, signing a contract for two and a half years. The deal amounted to two million euros. Which made this transfer = the most expensive in the history of Kazakhstani football, and in six games for Al Nassr Kabananga scored four goals.
