Re-branded Egyptian club has revealed their intention to make an offer for Zamalek and Egypt midfielder .

Hamed has always reiterated his unwillingness to leave Zamalek and confirmed he will be staying at the White Castle, despite Zamalek president Mortada Mansour deciding to sell him and make money out of the deal instead of letting him go for free since his contract with the club runs out after six months.

Pyramids have renewed their interest and announced they are readying a big offer for Zamalek and Hamed after knowing of the scuffle between the two parties.

“Pyramids FC will present to their fellow club Zamalek a request to sign star Tarek Hamed for 2 million USD and an annual salary of 15M EGP on a three-year contract,” Pyramids posted on Twitter.

Al Assiouty chairman Mahmoud Al Assiouty had announced last month that the club have been sold to Saudi investor, renamed to Pyramids FC.

It’s a lot of money for Zamalek but given the amounts Pyramids FC is throwing around and their current desperate need for quality Egyptian players to field their initial team I think zamalek can take advantage and charge 4MM and they would pay.

Overall though, I think Saudi and UAE coming in will be a great thing for the league and for the talent development of Egyptian players. We should not be afraid of forign investment. England wasn’t and it transformed it’s league, while Italy held on tight and the league collapsed to a shadow of it’s former self, Italy is now embracing foreign ownership. Besides Ahly will remain Ahly and Zamalek will sort itself out eventually so even if the forign owners leave one day and Pyramids (and the likes) collapse will go back to the way things are where Ahly dominate and Zamalek challenge. There is no real risk here people.
