OFFICIAL: Jean Michael Seri signs for Fulham FC
Seri was one of Europe’s most wanted midfielders last summer after impressing with French club Nice as the 26-year-old was close to joining Spanish giants Barcelona but they pulled out of the deal in the final stages.
After another successful individual season for Seri, many European clubs made offers including Chelsea, Napoli, and Dortmund.
However, the former Porto midfielder snubbed other offers and chose to play at Craven Cottage for newly promoted Premier League side Fulham.
“It was a long day yesterday so it was great to get the move finalised,” said Seri after his move became official.
“Now, I’m ready to get started and looking forward to meeting the squad and getting to know them, the Head Coach and his staff better.
“I’m delighted to be here, it’s a new adventure that starts for me and I’m hoping it will all go well,” he added.
During his time with Nice, Seri scored 12 goals and contributed to 23 assists in 103 appearances for the black and red outfit.
