OFFICIAL: Smouha sign Pyramids goalkeeper Essam Tharwat


has joined Smouha on a three-year deal after spending one year at , formerly known as Assiouty Sport.

The 31-year-old made only 12 appearances for the Pyramids last season, conceding 15 goals and keeping only two clean sheets.

The 31-year-old expressed his excitement to join Smouha emphasizing that he will give his best to prove himself throughout the upcoming season and that he hopes to win titles and achieve new records with the Blue Wave.

Tharwat had also played for Al Nasr before joining Pyramids in the summer of 2017, keeping seven clean sheets in a a total of 41 games.

This is Smouha’s sixth summer signing following the signings of Derrick Nsibambi, Brian Mwila, Amir Abed, Benson Shilongo, and Sherif Reda.
