OFFICIAL: Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru joins Galatasaray on loan
Galatasaray have announced that Nigeria’s Henry Onyekuru has joined them on a one year loan deal from Premier League side Everton.
Onyekuru joined Everton during the 2017 summer transfer window from Belgian side KAS Eupen but was directly loaned-out to Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht.
The 21-year-old impressed while in Belgium, scoring 10 goals in 28 game
s across all competitions. Despite his performances Everton decided to send him out on loan once again and he was snatched by Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Turkish champions were reportedly also interested in signing Egypt and Kasimpasa player Mahmoud Trezeguet, however the move seems unlikely as the Nigerian plays in the same position.
The Al Ahly academy graduate has had a great season with Kasimpasa playing 33 games across all competitions and managed to score 16 goals and provide eight assists.
