Jurgen Klopp confirms Mohamed Salah will travel for USA tour
The trio was on international duty with Egypt, Senegal, and Serbia in the World Cup, however, the three countries were eliminated from the group stages.
The early exit meant they will be just right on time to catch up with their teammates and travel to the USA for the club’s pre-season tour.
“That’s the start for them. They had their holiday and then they’ll come with us to the USA. They only had three weeks’ holiday so it means they didn’t lose too much,” Klopp said when asked about the trio.
“We have to see how they present and then we’ll see if they can play in the games. They will be there. And then the last group [of World Cup players] comes much later,” he added.
The Reds will take part in the International Cup this summer, where they will come up against the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, and rivals Manchester United.
They have already started their pre-season, facing Chester and Tranmere Rovers, beating both sides 7-0 and 3-2 respectively.
Jurgen Klopp’s men will also face Bury and Blackburn Rovers on the 14th and 19th of July, before heading out to the International Champions Cup.
After the friendly tournament, they will face Italian sides Napoli and Torino on August 4 and 7 respectively.
