Egypt’s Paralympics Women and Men’s Sitting Volleyball team fall to defeats

Egypt’s Women fell for a 3-1 defeat to Finland in the Sitting Volleyball Women’s World Championship, while the men lost to BIH 3-0 after their win yesterday against Poland. 

The women’s team won the first set 26-24 before losing the other three sets to Finland 25-9, 25-17, and 25-22. They lost their first match against Brazil 3-0 yesterday with scores of 25-8, 25-14, 25-7.

As for the men’s team they lost today to Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0. The scores of the sets were 25-18, 27-25, 25-19. Yesterday they won against Poland 3-1 with scores of 25-15, 25-19, 23-25, 25-18.

It’s worth mentioning that tomorrow the women’s team will face Ukraine in the third and final match of the preliminary round for the women. Ukraine beat Finland 3-0 yesterday and lost to Brazil 3-0.

The men’s team will face Iraq in the final match of the preliminary round. Iraq lost against Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 and lost narrowly against Poland by a score of 3-2 in a match that lasted over 2 hours and saw both teams take the lead multiple times.
