The 29-year-old played a total of just six games across all competitions with Numancia last season and conceded 10 goals, helping them finish sixth in the Spanish second division.

His performances in the World Cup has earned him a move to the Andalusian side after they got relegated from La Liga last season.

El Kajoui has a lot of experience in the Spanish second division, having played over 70 games in the competition for CD Numancia.

The Moroccan becomes Malaga’s third summer signing after compatriot Badr Boulahroud from FUS Rabat and Portuguese winger Renato Santos from Boavista.

He will compete with Andrés Prieto and Cenk Gönen for a starting spot, as Malaga will want to return back to the top tier of the Spanish football.

El Kajoui has won 31 caps for the Morocco national team and managed to play all three group stage games in the World Cup against Iran, Spain, and Portugal.
