Egypt’s women’s team earn bronze medal in Special Olympics Unified Cup
Egypt’s women’s team have succeeded in attaining the bronze medal in the Special Olympics Unified Cup after a defeat to Brazil in the tournament’s semifinal.
Despite the defeat, the Egyptian ladies displayed a great performance, giving their best given their poor physical condition due to their competitions intense schedule that requires the teams to play daily.
Egypt lost to Brazil 4-2, with the Pharaohs’ two goals coming from Sherouk Sayed. The Selecao took advantage of their better physcial condition and the fact that Egypt played three games in three successive days and managed to defeat Egypt to advance to the final where they will face Slovakia.
Egypt coach, Ekramy El-Gammal, described winning the bronze medal as an achievement that will be build on and there is the regional cup which Egypt hold its title and want to defend it.
