Carteron announces Al Ahly squad set to face Township Rollers

Following a great debut beating 3-0, Al Ahly manager has announced the squad set to travel to Botswana for the away game. 

Al Ahly claimed their first win in the group stage of the CAF Champions League after beating the Botswana Premier League side 3-0 at the Borg Al-Arab Stadium last week. This marked Carteron’s first match at the helm of the Red Castle.

The record eight-time African champions will be looking to get a second win when they travel to face Township Rollers in the fourth round of the group stage. Al Ahly will fly out to Botswana on Tuesday, four days ahead of their match at the Botswana National Stadium.

Al Ahly now sit second in Group A with four points, three behind leaders Esperance Sportive de Tunis. Meanwhile, Rollers and KCCA each have three points.

The 24-man list:

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ali Lotfy.

Defenders: Ahmed Fathi, Mohamed Hany, Saad Samir, Mohamed Naguib, Salif Coulibaly, Ayman Ashraf, Ali Maaloul, Sabry Rahil.

Midfielders: Hossam Ashour, Amr El-Sulaya, Hesham Mohamed, Karim Nedved, Ahmed Hamdy, Islam Mohareb, Walid Soliman, Mo’men Zakaria, Mido Gaber, Junior Ajayi.

Forwards: Marwan Mohsen, Salah Mohsen, Walid Azaro.
