RSB Berkane sign Burkina-Faso’s forward Alain Traore

international official joined Moroccan side RSB Berkane after successfully passing all medical tests.

Alain Traore left Qatar’s Al Markhiya Sports Club which he joined in the summer of 2017 in a free transfer coming from Turkish side Kayserispor and he will be now part of RSB Berkane’s squad.

After starting his professional career in Burkina-Faso in 2006, Traore went to France where he played for a number of clubs including AJ Auxerre, FC Lorient and Monaco.

His time in France ended in 2016 when he joined Kayserispor where he played 19 matches but only managed to score one goal.

He made 55 appearances with the national team scoring 21 goals. The 29-year-old player was also part of Burkina-Faso’s squad that reached the 2017 African Cup of Nations semi-final against Egypt in Gabon.

The new forward is expected to replace Ayoub El-Kaabi who recently moved to Hebei China Fortune.

It is worth mentioning that RSB Berkane and Egypt’s Al Masry are both in Group B in the CAF Confederation Cup along with Al-Hilal and UD Songo.

After drawing 0-0 in Morocco, one week later, Al Masry defeated RSB Berkane in Egypt 1-0 to put the Green Eagles in first place in their group.
