Ghana striker Majeed Waris has officially joined on loan from Porto after a disappointing season.

Waris joined the french side from Porto on loan hoping to find his form once again after barely having game time with Porto last season. He played only eight games with Porto and failed to find the back of the net.

Waris played with FC Lorient before joining Porto and he was constantly a goal threat, scoring many goals for his team. The 26-year-old has 25 caps for Ghana in which he scored five goals.

FC Nantes had a very good league season as they finished 9th in the league with fifty two points. They also had a disappointing cup as they went out from Auxerre in the Round of 32.

FC Nantes will kick off the league against AS Monaco at home on 11/8.
