Al Ahly evaluate a foreign bid for Phakamani Mahlambi
Egypt giants Al Ahly have confirmed in an official statement that they received a foreign offer to sign club winger Phakamani Mahlambi.
This comes a day after Al Ahly director of transfers Mohamed Fadl has confirmed that Mahlambi will leave the club this summer but only for the right price.
The 20-year-old has been registered in the club’s squad following Junior Ajayi’s lengthy injury, but that didn’t stop Phakamani from handing in a transfer request.
Al Ahly statement read that they have received an official offer from a foreign club to sign Mahlambi.
The Red Devils’ director of football Mohamed Youssef said that negotiations on the transfer fee and Patrice Carteron’s technical view will decide the player’s fate with the club.
Mahlambi joined Al Ahly from South African side Bidvest Wits in 2017 but failed to make an impact thus far, having only made 15 appearances, in which he’s registered a single goal and five assists.
