Former Smouha forward Hans Kwofie kidnapped in Tanzania
The 29-year-old Ghanaian forward has left Smouha this summer after terminating his contract with the Alexandrian club, just six months after joining them.
Kwofie made only two appearances during his time in Egypt, before signing for Tanzania’s Singida United Football Club on a free transfer.
And the club have announced on Saturday that Kwofie has been kidnapped after being named in their squad for the 2018/19 season.
“Our player Hans Kwofie from Ghana has been kidnapped” Singida United FC tweeted.
Kwofie was named as the Ghanaian Premier League top scorer in the 2016/2017 season with Ashanti Gold, before earning a move to Smouha in January 2018.
However, he couldn’t replicate his fine form with Smouha, playing just 91 minutes last season with the Blues as they finished fifth in the Egyptian Premier League.
