Egypt’s Elneny remains as an unused substitute as down 2-0 in the opening game of the English Premier League.

Manchester City managed to break the deadlock just 14 minutes into the game, as Raheem Sterling dribbled past Arsenal’s defenders and slotted the ball into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

The Citizens continued to dominate and created dangerous chances on goal, but Peter Cech saved brilliantly.

19 minutes into the second half, Bernardo Silva doubled the lead for the away side, as he converted Benjamin Mendy’s ground cross into the back of the net.

The Gunners scored in the 79th minute, but Aubameyang’s goal was ruled out for offside.

City maintained good defence and composure until the referee blew the full time whistle.

Following the loss, Arsenal sits 15th in the league table with no points and are set to face Chelsea on the 18th of August.
