Egypt drop out of the top 50 in the latest FIFA world rankings
Egypt’s national team have gone down 20 places in the latest FIFA Men’s Rankings for the month of August.
Egypt have taken a strong hit as they dropped from 45th place to 65th, making them the worst movers in the latest FIFA rankings.
The Pharaohs have had a poor run of form as they haven’t won any of their matches since the start of 2018. They also finished bottom of their group in the 2018 World Cup.
The 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) finalists are third worldwide between all Arab countries as Morocco and Tunisia get 46th and 24th place respectively.
Egypt will be looking to retain their spot in the top 50 once again under new head coach Javier Aguirre as they prepare for the 2019 AFCON qualifying matches.
The Pharaohs start their qualifying matches on September 9th as they’re set to take on Niger in Aguirre’s first match as Egypt’s head coach.
