Zamalek to boycott all sporting activities until conspiracy ends
Zamalek president Mortada Mansour has announced that the club will boycott all sporting activities until the conspiracy against them stops.
The White Knights have had several legal issues in the past weeks involving their financial department, which saw one of the staff members getting arrested. Other board members are also being investigated.
This led to Zamalek president Mortada Mansour announcing that the club will boycott all sports activities, including football.
Mansour revealed that the team will not take part in the remainder of this domestic league campaign until the conspiracy against the club stops.
“Zamalek decided to boycott all sporting activities including football until the conspiracy against us stops,” Mansour said during a press conference on Saturday.
“I respect the law. The president will not accept what is going on at the club right now.
“I thank the Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi for his support of the club and I demand an investigation with Mamdouh Abbas,” he added.
Zamalek are supposed to face Nogoom in their next game in the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday, August 28. The Whites are currently on top of the table with seven points.
