Paok holding on to Amr Warda despite interest from Reims

Kingfut can confirm that Greek side PAOK is holding on to Egypt’s international in spite of interest shown from France’s .

Warda, who returned to PAOK after a successful loan spell with Atromitos, recently featured for his club during the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

Kingfut understands, that French side Stade de Reims is interested in signing the young player during the summer transfer window and possibly on a loan deal, yet PAOK decided to hold on to Warda and head coach Razvan Lucescu included him in the squad that went to Portugal to face Benfica in the Champions League play-offs.

The 24-year-old who started his career at Egypt giants Al Ahly performed well with Atromitos in the 2017/18 season featuring in 28 games in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and making seven assists.

Warda was part of the Egyptian national team squad that went to Russia for the 2018 World Cup and featured in the Pharaohs’ three group stage games.
