Michael Owen doesn’t want Mohamed Salah to join Real Madrid
Liverpool legend Michale Owen hopes Egypt international Mohamed Salah wouldn’t move to La Liga side Real Madrid and eventually end his career at Anfield.
After an incredible debut season in which he scored 44 goals, becoming the Premier League’s best ever goalscorer in a 38-game campaign with 32 goals, Mohamed Salah is now considered one of Liverpool’s most important players.
Former England forward Michael Owen, who previously said that Salah will also excel this season, stated that he wants to see the young Egyptian continue his amazing performances with the club and not sign for a different team.
“I hope he doesn’t join Real Madrid,” Owen told Pyramids TV. “I see that Salah is happy at Liverpool, which is one of the best clubs in Europe. He renewed his contract and I hope he doesn’t join another team.”
“I want his last stop to be Liverpool,” he added.
Owen left his boyhood club, Liverpool, to play at the Santiago Bernabeu back in 2005, yet he does not want to see Salah following his footsteps.
