OFFICIAL: Former Al Ahly forward Coulibaly joins Partick Thistle FC
Coulibaly joined Al Ahly in January 2017 from Scottish side Kilmarnock where he made 12 appearances and scored six goals before fleeing Egypt in May 2017.
Al Ahly board had filed a lawsuit against the Ivory Coast international and the FIFA Dispute Settlement Court ruled that he has to pay a fine of $1.4 million and if he fails to do so he is not allowed to join or sign for any other club.
The 23-year-old has been without a club since leaving the Red Devils in 2017. However, in November he trained with Scottish side Hurlford United.
Partick Thistle are currently seventh in the 10-team Scottish Championship table with three points.
Thistle were in the Scottish Premiership during the 2017/2018 season but lost 3-1 on aggregate against Livingston in the Premiership play-offs, which saw them getting relegated to the Scottish second division.
