DR Congo international Yannick Bolasie joins Aston Villa on loan
Sky Bet Championship club Aston Villa FC officially announced the signing of Everton’s left winger Yannick Bolasie on loan for one season.
Yannick Bolasie joined Everton in 2016 coming from Crystal Palace, but his experience was not very successful especially after he suffered a knee injury that kept him sidelined for a year, now he will be representing Villa for one season as the club aims to get back to the Premier League.
Bolasie was a key player for Crystal Palace back in the 2012/13 season when the Glaziers were promoted and was vital for their survival in the English Premier League.
“My main aim here is to get this club promoted,” Bolasie told Villa’s website. “A club of this stature has to be in the Premier League.
“I looked around both Villa Park and the training ground, and me and my family just said, ‘wow’. It’s Premier League everywhere you look.
“I’m here to make myself smile again and use all my ability to try and help the team. It’s great to be here.”
It is worth mentioning that Villa went into full financial crisis as they failed to win promotion to the Premier League last season as Aston Villa had a tax bill worth £4.2 million and a debt worth £30 million.
However, the club later announced that NSWE, a Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens jointly controlled company, would inject a significant investment capital into the club but Chinese owner Tony Xia will become co-chairman and remain on the board.
