Jamie Carragher: You cannot stop Mohamed Salah when he is running
Mohamed Salah’s incredible form carries on as he recently scored the only goal in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Brighton in the Premier League, marking his 29th goal in 29 appearances at Anfield.
The 26-year-old has two goals in three Premier League appearances this season, one less than top scorers Richarlison, Sergio Aguero, Lucas Moura, Roberto Pereyra, and his teammate Sadio Mane.
“You can talk about stopping players but the one thing that you cannot stop a player doing is running,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“He [Salah] makes great diagonal runs in that left channel between the centre-back and left-back and he’s quicker than most defenders.
“He is not wide, he is very narrow and it ensures that he is always in position to score. It is no flash in the pan,” he added.
Liverpool travel to King Power stadium on Saturday as they face Leicester. Kick-off takes place 11:30 GMT.
