Pharaohs Abroad discover UEFA Europa League opponents
The Europa League draw was held on Friday in Monaco, with 48 teams participating in this round, including Mohamed Elneny’s Arsenal, Koka’s Olympiacos, and PAOK, who have Amr Warda in their ranks.
Arsenal, who were eliminated from the semi-finals of the competition last season, were drawn in group E alongside Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, Azerbaijan’s Qarabag, and Vorskla of Ukraine.
Olympiacos had a tougher draw as they will be facing Italy’s AC Milan, La Liga outfit Real Betis, and Luxembourg’s Dudelange.
The Greek side qualified for the group-stages after eliminating Premier League side Burnley in the playoffs. They have recently signed Ahmed Hassan on loan from Sporting Braga.
Meanwhile, Amr Warda’s PAOK were drawn with Chelsea, Belarusian giants BATE Borisov, and MOL Vidi FC of Hungary.
PAOK will participate in the Europa League group-stages after they lost to Benfica in the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
