Cameroonian Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting joins PSG from Stoke
Cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting officially moved to Paris Saint-Germain on a two-year contract ahead of the transfer deadline in France.
Choupo-Moting played for English side Stoke City alongside Egypt’s Ramadan Sobhi last season and scored five goals in 29 appearances but failed to save the team from relegation.
The Hamburg-born will now rejoin his former German manager Thomas Tuchel who coached the player back when he used to play for FSV Mainz before he moved to Schalke. He then joined Stoke City on a free transfer.
“I am extremely honoured to be signing for this big European club, Paris Saint-Germain,” Choupo-Moting told PSG’s official website.
“I would like to thank the directors and the coach for the confidence they have shown in signing me. I will give my absolute maximum out on the pitch, every day, to show my dedication to my new club.
“Coming to France, a big football country, is a fantastic moment in my career. I will be playing with some extraordinary teammates and I can’t wait to experience the atmosphere at the Parc des Princes!”
