Entag El Harby holds Al Ahly to a goalless draw in the Egyptian Premier League

held Al Ahly to a goalless draw in the fifth fixture of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Reds were looking to extend their winning streak to six games, as they faced Entag El Harby.

In the 20th minute, Al Ahly nearly managed to break the deadlock when Ahmed Hamoudi’s crossed freekick found Salif Coulibaly inside the box, but the Malian’s header was saved brilliantly by the Entag’s goalkeeper Amer Amer.

Just two minutes later, Walid Azarou’s unleashed a powerful shot from outside the box, however, Amer saved the Morrocan’s shot on two time.

Amer continued his impressive performace, when Azarou found himself in a one on one situation with Amer following a poor clearance by Entag’s defence, but the goalkeeper saved from a close range.

Entag responded in the 38th minute, as Mahmoud Hamada’s stunning shot from a long range hit Mohamed El-Shennawy’s post.

66 minutes into the game, Hamoudi found Mido Gaber with an accurately crossed freekick, but his powerful header hit the woodwork.

The Red Devils maintained pressure and pushed forward to open the scoring.

10 minutes before the fulltime whistle, Ayman Ashraf dribbled brilliantly up the left flank and passed the ball to Momen Zakaria, who tapped the ball into the back of the net. However, the goal was ruled out for offside.

Following the game, Al Ahly tops the league table with 11 points and are set to face El Dakhleya on the 11th of September.

Meanwhile, Entag El Harby occupy the fifth league spot with nine points and will face Perrojet on the 12th of the same month.
