Obrey Chirwa may be returning to Tanzania
Nogoom forward Obrey Chirwa has hinted at a move away from the club due to a payment dispute, with leaked footage suggesting he may want a move back to his former club Young Africans.
The 24 year old joined newly promoted Nogoom this summer, however he believes that he has not received the signing on fee that he was promised upon signing.
As a result, footage emerged of Chirwa stating that he would like to return to Tanzanian giants Young Africans, commonly known as Yanga, citing the close proximity between Tanzania and his native Zambia compared to that of Egypt.
“I want to get back to Yanga and its near home compared to Egypt. I liked the environment in Tanzania and am pleading with the Yanga management to take me back,” Chirwa was quoted by the Tanzania Swahili site Mwananchi.
As of now, Nogoom will focus on their next game which is against last season’s runners up Al Masry in the Egyptian Premier League.
