Al Masry set for a tough test against USM Alger in CAF Confederation Cup

The have put Egyptian side Al Masry against Algeria’s in a tough Arab encounter in the quarterfinal round of the competition.

Al Masry qualified to the quarterfinals after their success in advancing through the group stages in the second place along with RSB Berkane of Morocco where they collected 12 points. In addition to the Moroccan club, The Port-Said based side were competing against UD Songo of Mozambique and Sudan’s Al Hilal.

Rwandan side Rayon Sports has drawn Enyimba of Nigeria in the same round, while CARA Brazzaville from Congo will be facing Raja Casablanca.

Congolese giants AS Vita Club will face Moroccan surprise package RSB Berkane who won Group B ahead of Al Masry.

The draw also decided that the winner from Rayon Sports and Enyimba will line up against the winner from CARA Brazzaville and Raja Casablanca, whilst the winner between Al Masry and USM Alger will set a meeting against who prevails between AS Vita Club and RSB Berkane.
