Zamalek and Acheampong terminate deal by mutual consent
Zamalek have reached an agreement with Ghanaian striker Benjamin Acheampong to terminate the contract that binds him with the club by mutual consent.
Acheampong had declared his intentions about submitting a complaint against the White Castle after being put on the first team’s waiting squad list.
Zamalek had completed the signing of the 27-year-old Ghanian from Egyptian Premier League club Dakhleya in summer 2017. Though Acheampong’s spell with Zamalek was far from successful, as he struggled with a physical problem upon joining the team before making his debut in December.
Acheampong played for Zamalek in six games scoring two goals, before he was sent on loan in January to Petrojet then coming back to the Whites in the summer.
Zamalek had also decided to complain against the player to FIFA due to fleeing the country without previous notice, but both parties found a common ground and agreed to withdraw their respective complaints before they parted ways consensually.
