coach François Zahoui has admitted that his side’s match up against in the second round of the is a complicated one.

Niger will face Egypt who are looking to capture their first three points in the qualifiers after the first round’s upset against Tunisia. Niger were off to a positive start in Group J after beating Swaziland 2-1.

“I was supporting Egypt in the World Cup. The Egyptian team is a very strong one and facing them will certainly be difficult,” Zahoui said in the pre-match press conference.

“We had some of our foreign-based players arriving late to the team’s preparation camp due to receiving their visas late. Egypt possess one of the best three players in the world, this is enough to know how strong they are.”

“I voted for Salah for the best player in the world, firstly because he is an African player and also for his amazing career so far.”

Salah was nominated for FIFA’s The Best Men’s Player of the Year award alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric.
