Niger assistant coach praises Salah, Egypt national team
After the huge win for the Pharaohs, Omar acknowledged the gap between Egypt and Niger and said that his side came to this match to learn from Javier Aguirre’s men.
“We’re satisfied with our performance in the match given our current capabilities,” the assistant coach told the media after the match. “Egypt and Tunisia got a better chance to qualify.”
Mohamed Salah managed to score twice despite missing two penalty kicks, he also provided two assists to forwards Marwan Mohsen and Salah Mohsen.
“Salah deserves the Ballon d’Or and the Best Player of the Year award,” he added. “Salah presented a wonderful season and was a difficult challenge for our defenders. He was part of the six goals conceded.”
With his two goals in Niger, the Liverpool star now registered a total of 39 international goals since his debut with the Pharaohs in 2011.
