Patrice Carteron names Al Ahly squad for Horoya clash


Al Ahly manager Patrice Carteron has announced his 23-man squad that will face Guinean side in the quarter-finals of the .

The Red Devils were drawn against Horoya AC, with the first-leg taking place in Conakry, Guinea on Friday, September 14, a week before the two sides meet in Egypt.

The main notable omissions are Junior Ajayi, Amr El-Sulya, Mido Gaber, Marwan Mohsen, and Bassem Ali, who will miss the game due to injuries.

Marwan Mohsen suffered an injury during Egypt’s encounter with Niger, the game in which Mohsen opened the scoring for Egypt.

Meanwhile, Walid Soliman and Ahmed Hamoudi have been declared fit and will travel with the club to Guinea.

Goalkeepers: Sherif Ekramy, Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ali Lotfy.
