Mohamed Salah nominated for FIFA FIFPro World11 award
The World11 votes will be based on the performances of each player between the period of 3 July 2017 and 15 July 2018 inclusive.
Mohamed Salah was nominated to the final list after presenting spectacular performance on both club and international level last season with Liverpool and the Egyptian national team. The three Reds Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren and Sadio Mane were also nominated along with the Egyptian star.
For the FIFPro World 11 award, almost 25,000 professional footballers from 65 different countries will cast their votes choosing between five goalkeepers, 20 defenders, 15 midfielders and 15 forwards on the list.
The Liverpool winger was nominated earlier for FIFA’s The Best Men’s Player of the Year award alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, in addition to reaching the final list for FIFA the Puskas Award competing for scoring the best goal of the year.
FIFA and FIFPro will announce the winners of the World 11 which will include one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards on Monday September 24 in London.
