Horoya AC boss Victor Zvunka speaks ahead of Al Ahly clash
Al Ahly were drawn with Guinean champions Horoya AC in the draw that was held for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals after the Red Devils ended their group stage campaign as Group A winners ahead of Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Kampala City and Township Rollers, while Horoya qualified as Group C runner ups behind title holders Wydad Casablanca with nine points.
“We are working on preparing our side well for this challenge,” French coach Victor Zvunka told Guinean media outlet Objective. “We will do our best to qualify to the semi-finals.
“The first leg match is the most important. It is vital that we don’t concede any goals when we face Al Ahly.”
Horoya will host the first match in Conakry, Guinea on September 14, which will be officiated by Tunisian referee Youssef Srairi, while the return leg will take place in Egypt on the 22nd of the same month.
