Horoya AC defender believes they can get a result against Al Ahly

Horoya AC central defender has admitted that they are set for a tough meeting against Al Ahly in quarterfinal but maintains they stand a chance.

Egypt giants Al Ahly have been drawn with Guinean champions Horoya AC in the draw that was held for the CAF Champions League quarterfinals.

The Red Devils ended their group stage campaign as Group A winners ahead of Esperance Sportive de Tunis, Kampala City and Township Rollers, while Horoya qualified as Group C runner ups behind title holders Wydad Casablanca with nine points.

“We all know the pedigree of Al Ahly in the Champions League so we know it’s going to be very tough,” Asante told

“They have quality players and their football is also very good. But we are a good side as well and I’m sure we’ll map out a good strategy to secure the result we want.” the Ghanian defender concluded.

Horoya will host the first match in Conakry, Guinea on September 14, while the return leg will take place in Egypt on the 22nd of the same month.
