Ayman Hefny returns as Zamalek name squad for El-Gaish clash


Zamalek manager Christian Gross has named his 21-man squad that will take on Tala’a El-Gaish in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Whites are currently third in the league with 10 points behind Al Ahly and Pyramids, while El-Gaish sit 12th with five points, only one point away from the relegation zone.

The squad saw the exclusion of Mostafa Fathi, Abdallah Gomaa, Ahmed Madbouli, Dunga, and Tunisia international Hamdi Nagguez.

On the other hand, has returned to the squad for the first time since the Petrojet clash, with Mohamed Abdelghany, Bahaa Magdy, Mohamed Antar also making the cut.

The game will take place on Thursday, September 13 at Petrosport Stadium.

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gennesh, Emad El-Sayed.

Defenders: Bahaa Magdy, Ahmed Aboul-Fotouh, Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud El-Wensh, Hazem Emam, Mohamed Abdel-Ghani.

Midfielders: Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Hassan, Ferjani Sassi, Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz, Mohamed Antar, Mohamed Ibrahim, Ibrahim Hassan, Mahmoud Kahraba, Ayman Hefny.

Strikers: Omar El-Said, Youssef Obama, Kabongo Kasongo, Hamid Ahdad.
