Saleh Gomaa cuts his loan spell at Al Faisaly, returns to Al Ahly
Al Ahly owned playmaker Saleh Gomaa has officially terminated his two-year loan deal with Saudi club Al Faisaly by mutual consent and returned to his parent club in Egypt.
Saleh Gomaa moved to Saudi Arabia in 2018 to join Al Faisaly on loan on a one-and-a-half year deal and made 11 appearances with the club in the Saudi Professional League and the King’s Cup making four assists.
An issue has been ignited between the 25-year-old Egypt international and the Saudi club in the recent period after he deserted the first team’s training.
However, at the beginning of the season Al Faisaly left Gomaa out of the team’s squad list for this season for disciplinary reasons which were later on confirmed by the club’s football director Mosaed El-Mowes.
Gomaa appeared in Al Ahly’s training this morning in Cairo. He will be training regularly with the Red Devils until January before the club decide whether to register him in the squad or sending him elsewhere.
