Sam Morsy was shown a red card as Brentford defeated 2-0 in the seventh fixture of the Championship.

Brenford started the game in an electrifying fashion, as Said Benrahma sent the ball to Neal Maupay who finished the ball into the back of Christian Walton’s net, to put the home side in front in the 21st minute.

The Latics tried to score the equalizing goal, but Daniel Bentley put on multiple saves to maintain Brentford’s lead.

Egypt’s international midfielder was shown a red card in the 58th minute, after his late awful challenge on Yoann Barbet.

Maupay doubled his tally in the 63rd minute, as he converted the ball past Walton, to secure the full three points for the Bees.

Following the loss, Wigan occupy the 11th league spot with 10 points and are set to face Hull City on the 18th of September.

Mohammed Salama is a 21-year-old who fell in love with football since Egypt's AFCON final match against Ivory Coast! Strangely enough an Al Ahly and Al Masry fan locally. In addition, he's a hardcore Bayern Munich supporter.
