Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler has refused to criticise following his performance in the Reds’ 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Saturday.

The Egypt international failed to score for the second game in a row and didn’t put his best performances, but that didn’t stop Liverpool pulling off an important victory against Tottenham.

However, Fowler has refused to criticise Salah and encouraged him to be selfish as it’s his job to score goals for his team.

“I’m not going to start condemning the forwards after such a good win,” Fowler told The Mirror.

“Yes, Salah was probably the worst culprit, and he not only missed a few chances, but also made a couple of dodgy decisions in possession.

“But he’s a goalscorer. He is used to scoring now and he wants to find the net. I know what that’s like, and I can’t criticise him for that. You can’t be moaning at him when the Liverpool forward line took Spurs apart so easily.

“It was a performance from Liverpool that had a bit of everything, with very few weaknesses. I noticed Graeme Souness said afterwards he thought it was my old club’s best team since Kenny Dalglish last won the league.

“I’m not going to argue with Souey, because he’s Souey…but you definitely can’t say that unless they win the league,” he added.

Liverpool are currently second in the Premier League table behind Chelsea on goal difference and their next match will be against PSG in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, September 18.

This is a serious message to Mohammad Salah, I really think that he is being manipulated by enlisting his name on a short list of best players then Ballon D’or then not offering him either one just to destroy his self confidence and to cause him to be distracted from focusing on his play.He needs to take this prizes out of his head same like Messi did.
