Zamalek defender Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh extends contract
Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh first joined Zamalek in 2016 coming from Tala’a El-Geish and managed to quickly prove himself becoming a vital part of the team’s squad.
“I am happy to continue playing for Zamalek till 2023,” the player said on his official Twitter account. “I am looking forward to winning more championships. I would also like to thank Amir Mortada Mansour and the club’s board.”
El-Wensh played a total of 66 matches with the White Knights so far scoring one goal and making one assist. He won the 2016/17 Egyptian Super Cup in addition to the Egyptian Cup last season.
After he shined with Zamalek, the player was called up by Egypt national team former head coach Hector Cuper and was part of the squad that went to Russia for the 2018 World Cup. He made his debut before the World Cup against Kuwait in an international friendly.
