Arab Contractors general director: We want a rematch against Pyramids
Mohamed Adel, Arab Contractors general director, confirmed that his club will submit an official letter to EFA asking for a rematch against Pyramids.
“I wrote an official letter to the EFA and we will post an official letter on our page asking for a rematch. There has to be equality between all teams, this isn’t between us and Pyramids, the problem is with EFA” said Adel to LTC
Head of Egyptian Football Association committee of competitions Amer Hussein said “I don’t like speaking before taking any official decisions and Arab Contractors know our system very well.”
“Any team has the right to ask for foreign referees as there is no rule opposing this. It doesn’t have to be the home team that asks for the foreign referees and maybe this is the problem Arab Contractors faced.” added Hussein.
Pyramids won 1-0 against Arab Contractors in matchday 7 of the Egyptian Premier League which put them to the top of the league by two points advantage over their nearest pursuers.
Arab Contractors argued about the bringing of Tunisian referees right before the encounter and without being informed by the EFA’s committee of competitions, in addition to the lack of the fifth referee which existed in all league games since the start of the season.
