scored as defeated Hull City 2-1 in the eighth fixture of the Championship.

Wigan got off to a flyer, as Sam Morsy took the lead for the Latics in the 21st minute. The Egyptian skipper’s right footed shot found the bottom left corner from a long range.

The Latics doubles their lead in the 37th minute, as Joshua Windass headed Lee Evans’ accurate cross into the back of the net.

Just six minutes later, Jarrod Bowen pulled one back for the away side, as his left footed shot went past Christian Walton.

Morsy nearly doubled his tally in the 70th minute, as Reece James set the ball for the Egyptian, but his shot went over the bar.

Both teams failed to score further goals until the referee blew the fulltime whistle.

Following the win, Wigan occupy the seventh league spot with 13 points and are set to face Bristol City on the 21st of September.
