South African players Nemukondeni, Cele set for Petrojet trial
South African players Thabo Nemukondeni and Philani Cele are set to undergo trial at Egypt’s Petrojet for one week.
Nemukondeni, who plays as a winger and in the midfield, has been a free agent since leaving his former team Bloemfontein Celtic back in April.
The 26-year-old first shined after his move from South African side Alexandria United FC to Pretoria FC in 2016 which helped him head to Ajax Cape Town a year and a half later.
His last move was to Bloemfontein Celtic in January 2018, yet he failed to make more than two appearances parting ways with the club without managing to score any goals.
Attacking midfielder Cele first started his career at Dynamos FC in 2007 then moved to Kaizer Chiefs youth team before proceeding to the first team in 2013. More than a year later he was loaned to Swallows FC then returned to the Phefeni Glamour Boys in 2015.
Cele left Kaizer Chiefs in July 2016 and remained without a club until he joined National First Division side Richards Bay FC almost six months later. Now the player is again a free agent.
Petrojet are currently 10th in the league with eight points collected from seven matches. The team managed to secure only one win and one draw but lost five games.
