Aguirre attends Liverpool clash against Chelsea to watch Salah in action
Aguirre travelled to Liverpool from London after attending an analytic conference for the 2018 World Cup that was organized by FIFA and involved a huge number of international coaches from around the world.
The Mexican manager has also attended FIFA’s The Best ceremony last Monday, where Mohamed Salah won the Puskas award as well as coming third in the Best Player of the Year award behind Luka Modric and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Aguirre will watch Mohamed Salah play against his former club Chelsea on Wednesday in the third round of the EFL Cup, the trophy which Liverpool haven’t won since 2012.
He is expected to return to Cairo on Thursday morning for the preparations for the next international break in the 12th and the 16th of October against Swaziland in the third round of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Egypt are currently second in group J with three points, three behind Tunisia, and two ahead of third and fourth places Swaziland and Niger.
