Pyramids duo Ali Gabr, Keno close to joining Ittihad Jeddah – Reports
Head of Saudi General Sports Authority Turki Al-Sheikh has officially announced his withdrawal from his investments in Egyptian Premier League club Pyramids FC and now the club is under the authority of Hossam El-Badry, Ahmed Hassan and Hady Khashaba.
The club official TV channel has also announced that Al-Sheikh will look to offers the club’s current players abroad, which made Ittihad Jeddah looking to make a move for Ali Gabr and Keno next January.
Keno has been a revelation for Pyramids this season following his arrival from Palmeiras last summer, scoring four goals and assisting twice in seven games.
His consistently good performances have helped him attract a lot of interest from a number of clubs, including some un-named Chinese sides, according to Al-Sheikh.
On the other hand, Egypt international Ali Gabr has been an ever-present in the Egyptian Premier League, featuring for Ismaily, Ittihad of Alexandria, and Zamalek before signing for Pyramids. He even had a short stint at English West Bromwich Albion last year.
Gabr, who was part of the Egypt team at the World Cup, made seven appearances for Pyramids, scoring once and receiving one red card.
Ittihad had a number of Egyptian players before, most notably Mahmoud Kahraba on loan from Zamalek, Ismaily legend Hosni Abd-Rabo, and former Al Ahly forward Emad Meteb.
