Ronaldo congratulates Mohamed Salah on winning Puskas award
The Liverpool winger won the award for his effort against Everton in the Premier League beating Gareth Bale’s overhead kick against Liverpool in the Champions League final, Cristiano Ronaldo’s acrobatic strike against Juventus, and Pavard’s volley against Argentina.
In a question-answer session the Portuguese player hosted on his official Instagram account, he said in response to questions sent to him about the Puskas award that he’s fine with not winning and that he won the award before.
“Salah deserved it, it was a good goal,” Ronaldo said. “And congrats to Modric for his win, he is a very good player.”
Mohamed Salah was also nominated for the Best FIFA men’s player of the Year, but he came in third place behind Luka Modric, who won the award, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
